Report on the IBSSA Board of Directors meeting on the 8th April 2006 - Budapest

The President of IBSSA gave a brief report on the forthcoming IBSSA congress, which will be held in Miami, USA between 26th June - 2nd July 2006.

Prof. Popper also gave information on the new developments in IBSSA, since we reached 100 member countries, which makes us the biggest professional organisation in the Security industry. The President made clear that we remaining independent and will continue close cooperation with our various partners.

The forthcoming congress in Miami, USA will be an exceptional event in cooperation with the American AAU and with our IBSSA - ISF Executive President Mr. Joe B. MIRZA. Prof. Popper announced that due to USA local safety regulations, we are unable to organise the Bodyguard World Championships during the congress in Miami.

However we will continue our tradition of official award ceremony and the IBSSA Hall of Fame and IBSSA International Sport Federation's Hall of Fame. We call our members to send nominations to the General Secretariat not later than 30th May 2006.

General Secretary - Prof. Rony KLUGER reported about his visits in the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Lithuania. Concerning the forthcoming IBSSA Congress the General Secretary explained the importance of the pre-registration in Miami Hotels, because of overbooking. He explained that during the congress we will run our professional seminars with the AAU and this time we will offer to our participants world class training with the most famous International Masters. Prof. Kluger reminded that during the congress it will be possible to qualify for IBSSA Instructors, Teachers and Masters.

The forthcoming IBSSA International special training seminar the 5th "SEC-tember" will be held between 19 - 23 September 2006 in Budapest. Full details of the content will be announced at the congress.

It was discussed that the new IBSSA Internet site will open a new chapter for IBSSA - ISF.
