Report on the Extreme driving training for State Revenue Service of Latvia in September 2014

In September 2014 the representative office of IBSSA in Latvia, and the official IBSSA training centre – Bodyguard school SECURITYTRAINING.LV has organised an Extreme driving training in Riga for the State Revenue Service of Latvia.

The training was separated in two parts: theory and practice. Theory of extreme driving was a very important part of the training. Participants were informed about the main principles of extreme driving. They also discussed issues of correct technical operation for vehicle “surviving” in extreme driving situations. The main idea of the theoretical training is: in extreme situation on the road your vehicle is your friend, your defence and your weapon. For the practical part of the training professional extreme driving equipment was used.

The first task for the participants was “snake”, when they had to take turns at high speed on a slippery surface. The second task was “hill”, when participants had to keep the car in a controlled drift on a slippery surface.

The last task was “circle”, which is a very difficult driving task. Rotating circle throws the rear wheels of the car to the right or to the left. Aim of the task was to keep the car in a forward direction. All participants gained new interesting information about car driving. The training process was held very professionally – without any problems or incidents.

Thanks very much for the “Baltic Ring 333” and the State Revenue Service of Latvia for the perfect event!

Mr. Andrey Shishov

Country Representative of IBSSA for Latvia
